WCSIT Minutes

The 12:00 meeting was held in X150.
Four members were in attendance: Linda Crowley, Samantha Fiscella, Waylena McCully, and Karina Pavlova.
 

Recruiting and Activities Plan. Karina and Samantha met with Ann Blackman and Maria Mobasseri last week to brainstorm and discuss ways to get more students interested in joining WCSIT. The result of the meeting is the WCSIT Recruiting/Activities Plan, attached as a DOC file for those receiving minutes by email.

Additional ideas were discussed as well. We could try reaching out to students in the Office Professionals program, since they are mostly women and are finding themselves working more with technology every year. We could also set up an online forum for members. This would permit everyone to participate in club discussions, regardless of class, work and family schedules.

Spring semester. Samantha will announce an initial meeting at the start of the semester. After that, a formal set of meeting dates and times will be announced, most likely Tuesdays. Also, we’ll need to find out which members will be here in the Spring.

Web committee. Waylena reported that she and Kasey met to go over website maintenance.

Spring Food Sales will be March 10th and April 7th.
