The 11:00 meeting was held in X150.
Eight were in attendance: Marlene Long, Ann Blackman, Linda Crowley, Min Kim,
Carmen McCabe, Waylena McCully, Karina Pavlova, and Irene Tucker.
Food sales: The next pizza sale will be February 25th. Might go with something
other than pizza, although pizza sales have been very good.
Games 4 Girls Competition: We have three teams entering the competition. Teams can meet whenever they choose, but Saturdays from 10:00am until 2:00pm are a great time to use Parkland lab in B113. During that time, food and child care will be provided. Let Ann Blackman (351-2414) know if you'll be bringing the kids. Best of luck to our teams in this exciting competition. You Go Girls!
WCSIT will be doing a Display Case for St. Patrick's Day week, to be installed Monday, March 14th.
Parkland is conducting a conference for Women called "Mind, Body, and Spirit" on the morning of Saturday, February 26th. This may be a great way to recharge those mental, physical, and spiritual batteries! This conference is listed on page 22 of the Spring Live & Learn.
Karina brought in a flyer about a lecture on Thursday, February 17th. "Origins of a Networked World: From World War II to the Internet" will be presented that day from 3:00pm to 5:00pm on the third floor of the Levis Faculty Center, 919 W. Illinois Street, Urbana.
ONE FINAL NOTE: Marlene Long (mlong@stu.parkland.edu) needs RSVPs for the February 14th meeting at 12:00noon in X150. She needs an exact headcount for the meeting in order to plan for something special.
